How does callback request handling work?
Calls are forwarded to the temporary receptionist number. The receptionist answers using the configured greeting and asks for the selected callback details.
The completed request is organised into a clear summary and sent to the chosen business contacts.
What information can it collect?
Typical fields include the caller’s name, contact number, reason for calling, urgency, preferred callback time and useful extra context.
Can it answer basic questions?
Yes, when the answer has been included in the configured business facts, such as opening hours, website, location or service area.
Can it guarantee when the business will call back?
No. It can record the caller’s preferred callback time, but it should not promise a guaranteed response time unless the business explicitly configures that wording.
What happens when the answer is not configured?
The receptionist records the question for the team rather than inventing information.
When is temporary callback cover useful?
It is useful during busy periods, staff absence, travel, meetings, training and days when live answering is not practical.
