Plain-English service information for One Day Receptionist customers. This page explains what is included, how usage works, refund limits, privacy basics and high-risk use restrictions.

Service Summary

One Day Receptionist provides short-term AI receptionist cover for businesses that need temporary phone answering support. The service can provide a temporary receptionist number, AI call handling, call summaries and setup storage for future reactivation.

Included Usage And Fair Use

Each paid cover day includes £10 call credit, typically enough for around 80 minutes of AI receptionist call time at an estimated 12.5p per minute. This is an estimate, not a promise of a fixed number of calls. Actual usage may vary depending on call length, caller behaviour, speech processing, retries, testing, forwarding and provider costs.

The service includes £10 caller credit per paid cover day. This credit is used for telephony, AI processing, call handling and related provider costs.

If usage is unusually high, we may pause the service, request an additional top-up, or contact you before continuing cover.

Approximate Call Allowance

References to included call credit are estimates only. Very long calls, repeated test calls, silent calls, abusive calls, spam calls, repeated retries, forwarding costs or unusually high call volumes may use the included credit more quickly.

Customer Responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of the business information, greeting, call instructions, notification details and forwarding instructions you provide.

You are responsible for checking that the service is suitable for your business and for monitoring call summaries and notifications during your cover period.

You are responsible for informing callers about call handling, transcription, recording or logging where legally required for your business.

Temporary Number And Activation

Temporary receptionist numbers are normally provided after payment and activation. The specific number may change between activations unless we agree otherwise.

Setup details may be stored for up to 12 months to make future reactivation quicker.

Refund Policy

Because the service provisions a temporary number and may begin setup, activation and usage work immediately after payment, refunds are not normally available once activation has started, a number has been assigned, or calls have been handled.

If the service fails due to our technical fault and no reasonable workaround is available, we may offer a refund, partial refund or replacement cover at our discretion.

We do not normally refund unused included usage allowance, unused call estimates, customer configuration errors, incorrect forwarding, missed notifications caused by incorrect customer details, or changes of mind after activation has started.

Privacy Notice

We process business contact details, setup answers, call instructions, phone numbers, email addresses, call transcripts, call summaries, notification records, payment references and technical logs to provide, operate, secure and support the receptionist service.

We use this information to provide call handling, send notifications, support customers, prevent abuse, troubleshoot technical issues, maintain audit records and improve the service.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card details.

Call Transcripts, Summaries And Logs

The service may generate transcripts, summaries and call logs for operational, notification, audit, quality and support purposes.

Customers are responsible for ensuring their own callers are informed where legally required.

Payments

Payments are processed through Stripe. We do not store full card details. Payment references and activation records may be retained for accounting, support, audit and operational purposes.

Prohibited / High-Risk Use

The service must not be used for emergency calls, medical emergency calls, safeguarding matters, crisis support, legal deadlines, financial trading instructions, regulated advice, or any situation where failure, delay or misunderstanding could cause serious harm.
